This is the Trabant. It was produced in East Germany from 1957 all the way up until 1991. And it is making a return, although with a slight difference.

In 2008 I went to the Goodwood FOS to see BP’s Technology Pavilion, which was a great experience. It was good to see that in 2009 they are keeping the push up.

During my day at the Goodwood Festival of Speed I learnt a lot about the new eco cars that are being developed by the major car manufacturers, some are just one-off concepts, others are expected to go into full production.
