Four Day Tanker Driver Strike – DON’T PANIC BUY!

Fuel PumpIt appears the four day strike by 600 fuel tanker drivers has caused some people to start panic buying at the forcourts. The drivers deliver fuel to Shell garages only so their is no need to worry at all! By panic buying you are only wasting your own time and money at the pump when you don’t need to.

Will The Damn Price Of Petrol Ever Stop Rising!

The scare of a shortage of fuel after the walkout at Grangemouth oil refinery has sent prices even higher. A forecourt reported on BBC news that its sales where up 15% due to people panic buying. The price of petrol is getting beyond peoples means and doesn’t look set to drop below £1.00 ever again! Will the damn price of petrol ever stop rising?

On March 6th the main website was featured in Canada’s Globe & Mail in an article called “Europeans forced to be more creative about saving fuel”. On Thursday 13th the website was also mentioned in the Times Newspaper in an article called “Troubleshooter’s Budget Survival kit” which gave readers 14 ways to get through the economic downturn.

UK Petrol Prices Are Pushing Up Inflation!

MoneyThe Office of National Statistics (ONS) have released a report saying that rising fuel costs are to blame for inflation running at its highest level since June last year. Average petrol prices rose by 1.3p in January 2008 to 103.9p per litre, compared with a fall of 0.8p in January 2007.
